FAQ

Is it really free?
Yes. The extension is free with no signup, no account, no API keys. Everything runs locally in your browser.
How is this different from Chrome DevTools?
DevTools offers basic viewport resize. Mobile Simulator gives you real device frames, multi-device sync scroll, dark mode toggles per panel, HD screenshots, and proper UA headers — purpose-built for responsive testing.
Does it work on localhost?
Yes. Mobile Simulator works on any URL — production sites, staging, localhost, file://, intranet. If Chrome can load it, the simulator can preview it.
Will it work on my framework?
Yes. React, Vue, Svelte, Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, Angular, plain HTML — Mobile Simulator is framework-agnostic. It works on any website Chrome can render.
Does it collect my data?
No. URLs you preview, page content, custom device names — none of it leaves your computer. We only send anonymous usage events (e.g. "device switched") which you can disable in one click. Full privacy policy.
